William "Bill" DARE

News Death Notice

DARE, William "Bill" 91, a lifetime Morrow resident, died Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at his home. A graduate of Morrow High School, he served in the US Air Force during WWII and spent 33 months in the South Pacific. Bill & his brothers owned & operated Dare's Garage in Morrow and Clarksville Auto Parts for many years and he was a member of Morrow F. & A.M. #265, Morrow VFW and American Legion, and Morrow United Methodist Church. He was active with local baseball & softball teams in his younger years, enjoyed fishing & hunting and was an avid golfer. Preceded in death by his beloved wife in 2012, Evelyn, only daughter in 1983, Debra Hunter, brother, John Robert "Jack" Dare, and sister, Alma Jean Berger, survivors include grandson, Drew Hunter (Samantha) of Arlington, VA, brothers, Richard "Dick" Dare of Morrow and James "Jim" Dare of Clarksville, and loving extended family, Dett Hunter (Robin) of Cleveland, OH, Allison Hunter (Brandon) Putnam, Nicholas Hunter, and Whitacre Putnam. Visitation was Monday, December 30th, 10-11:00 AM, with funeral that immediately followed, all at Vale-Hoskins Funeral Home, Morrow. Interment took place in Morrow Cemetery with military honors. Memorial donations may be made to Morrow Fire Department, 150 E. Pike St., Morrow, OH 45152 or Community Care Hospice, 200 R. Gordon Drive, Wilmington, OH 45177.
