GROVE, Kenneth David Age 78, of Hamilton, passed away at Bethesda North Hospital on November 9, 2018. He was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 29, 1940, the son of Arthur and Bernice Grove. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1961 and was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati. He married his high school sweetheart, Carolyn Gordon, on September 8, 1958 in Hamilton. He learned self reliance at an early age, starting with a job selling ice cream from a cart as a child. He worked at the A&W root beer stand from the age of 14, where he met the love of his life. After his time serving in the army in Germany, he returned home to his bride and had the foresight to start his career in the burgeoning field of computers. He excelled in his career and enrolled at the University of Cincinnati, graduating while raising three young children. His career spanned multiple generations of computer technology, culminating in a visit to the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry where he was amused to find that he had personally worked on four out of five computers on display. During retirement he enjoyed the simple things in life - family, food, music, and golf. He loved to travel, including trips to many blues and jazz festivals, and to search for that elusive hole-in-one. A little piece of his heart will stay forever on the sixteenth hole at Hueston Woods. He is survived by his wife Carolyn and their children Kim (Dale) Forman and Christopher (Stephanie) Grove and grandchildren Jason and Sarah Forman. He was preceded in death by his cherished son David, his parents, three brothers, and one sister. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45206.
