Marshall CHITWOOD Obituary
CHITWOOD, Marshall Age 77 of Kettering went out like a firecracker on the fourth of July to be with the love of his life, Pauline Chitwood who passed away in 2006. Marshall left us at 4:28 p.m. at Hospice of Dayton after a long battle with lung and heart disease. Marshall was born on September 30th, 1941 in West Point Kentucky to the late Elizabeth and Alonzo "Bud" Chitwood. Marshall was an experienced auto mechanic who enjoyed working on cars. He worked at Simon's Cadillac and Rogers Pontiac, while spending many years at Keowee Auto Sales. He was known for his vivacious personality and contagious smile. In addition to his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by his brother Charles Chitwood. He is survived by his only daughter Melissa (Rick) Jackson; step-son Dale (Jenny) Moore; two brothers Tommy and Ross (Shirley) Chitwood; sister June (Howard) Lawson and two grandchildren Caity and Spencer Jackson, along with many nieces and nephews. A memorial ceremony will be held on Thursday July 12th at Park View Community Center on 4100 Glenheath Drive in Kettering Ohio 45440. Family and friends are welcome to come from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Hospice of Dayton for their tender and loving care.
