GREENBERG, Mary Helen Feb. 18, 1922 - Nov. 21, 2013 Mary Greenberg, Oxford, Ohio, passed away after a long illness. She was born in Bridgeport, CT. and attended Washington High School in Massillon, Ohio. Mrs. Greenberg owned and operated the Ace Tavern in Springfield, Ohio and worked for several years in retail with Elder Beerman. Mary was an honorary Clark County, Ohio Deputy Sheriff, and Housemother of Wittenberg University's Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. She was an avid fan of the Massillon high school football team, having been a student there during the tenure of legendary coach Paul Brown. Mrs. Greenberg was a proud member of the Macedonian Patriotic Organization. She loved to dance and fish and brought laughter and smiles to all of those fortunate enough to know her. She was full of life and celebrated her family and her heritage every moment of her existence. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris, brothers, Christopher and Richard and great granddaughter Mary Tess Greenberg. She is survived by two sons, Richard (Susan) Greenberg of Cape Coral, Florida and Adolph (Sandra) of Oxford and four grandchildren, Jennifer (Michael) Sheehan of Middletown, Connecticut, Scott Greenberg of Cape Coral, Florida, Amanda (Noah Bornstein) Greenberg of Columbus, Ohio, and Joshua (Katy) Greenberg of Grayling, Michigan and two great grandsons, Holden and Aaron Greenberg of Grayling, Michigan. Nephews Christopher and Paul Kencheff of Springfield, Ohio. As per her request, there will not be a service.
