How time flies! Looking at his graduation photo once again, I still smile...because Nick always made me smile.
What a wonderful tribute...that he still brings forth such wonderful memories.
Thank you for the opportunity to express my sorrow once again. His star will continue to shine bright!

Allen Family:
I had the pleasure of teaching Nick during his sophomore year, going on Kairos with him, and talking with him almost every day in the hallways at Moeller. His humor and joy spread to everyone around him, and, on more than one occasion, made my day better and more colorful. Everyone who crossed his path is a better person as a result...May he smile down on you all from heaven, and may God bestow comfort on your entire family.
In Peace,
Eric Eble

Allen Family,
I taught Nick during his junior year and he was such a blessing in the classroom...I looked forward to seeing his smile! Even this past year (when he didn't have me as a teacher), he always greeted me in the hallway and we shared many laughs. We spoke many times of his plans to major in business (he really wanted to make you all proud of him)!
Such a sad time but I hope that you can take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you. And I am sure he's got a big smile!

Allen family-
We are so blessed to have had Nick in our lives. Not only did he love the outdoors and fishing with our son Brad, but he always found time to come inside, sit down and talk to us. Always smiling, and with a big welcoming hug. Hello Mr. and Mrs. Popplewell. He always brought a smile to our faces, and pure joy to our hearts. His Moeller family will never forget him. We are praying for your family, and want to extend our deepest regrets for your loss. We are all better people for crossing paths with your loving son.
Love forever and always,
The Popplewell family, Tom, Camille, Bradley and Sam

Dear Allen Family,
Oh, my heart just aches for all of you! How could this happen, you say...
I had the privilege of having Nick in my Spanish class his junior year. That experience led to Yearbook class his senior year. We did have a special bond, and we always understood each other.
Among the many wonderful memories that I have from Yearbook...Nick putting sweetener in my coffee, knowing that I take mine black. He sat back just to enjoy my reaction...Oh, the laughs, the work, the stories, the fun...I will always cherish his memory and thank God that there was a Nick Allen among us.
Much love,
Britt Raymond

I'm terribly sorry to hear about Nick's passing. I only met him briefly at the registration session he attended at Miami University, but I remember him clearly -- he certainly stood out, and when I was speaking with him about his classes, I remember his friendly smile and happy, easy-going demeanor. He seemed like just a lovely person.

Nick has certainly "run the race" (Heb 12:1) and has heard, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matt 25:33). He touched many lives in a very personal way. The pebble dropped in a lake creates the ripples extending out beyond initial contact. Nick created the same in every area of his life.
Like Jesus, Nick did his best work at the end of a life too short.. he finished strong. Find comfort in memories of Nick we all will forever hold close to our hearts.

Allen Family,
Our hearts are so very sad. Our paths crossed at Moeller High School 9th grade. Your family is and will forever be in our thoughts and prayers. My special name for him was Big Nick and Shane just called him Big Daddy! No matter where we were or how loud it was, whenever I said Big Nick... he always looked around and found me, then he would say with that beautiful smile and those bright eyes - Hi Ms. Jones. I'm going to miss that....
We love him and we love you.

One memory that stands out from all of my experiences with Moeller the past four years, was watching Nick at the Freshman Mom Prom. The entire evening, he never took his attention away from his mom! I was so impressed with the love and devotion he showed his mother while all the other freshman left their moms at the start of the dance! He danced the entire night with her. THAT shows the character of his soul!
Take comfort in knowing that he is in the loving embrace of his Blessed Mother Mary.
I pray for peace in all of your hearts.
