Patsy Ann (Pat) JAMES Obituary
JAMES, Patsy Ann "Pat" On May 13, 2018, Pat passed away after a lengthy and courageous fight against cancer. Pat was truly an angel among us. She had the ability to light up every room she walked into with a bright smile and an infectious laugh. She had a giving spirit and was a selfless person. She was the "go to" lady with shoulders to cry on and listening ears to hear for anyone who needed them. She always knew just what to say and was known for her profound advice. She was truly a people person who never met a stranger. Pat never met a child who wasn't drawn to her because she was always young at heart. Pat enjoyed reading, playing cards and had a passion for flowers. She loved being outside and had an eternal green thumb. She enjoyed playing softball and bowling in her earlier years. She was hard working and was known to have a strong will. (Some might even say she was stubborn.) She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children: Michael James, Melinda Smith, and Medina "Dina" Paxitzis, and her favorite son-in-law, Nick Paxitzis. Her grandchildren, Nicole Robinson, Katrina Smith, and Alexandra Paxitzis. 6 great-grandchildren, brothers: Sonny (Linda) Peters, Bradley (Sammie) Peters, sister: Dorothy Chandler, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her partner in all things, husband of 61 years, Charles "Bo" James, her parents, Earl and Mary (Wedding) Peters, sisters: Evelyn, Christine, Bernadine and Earline and her best friend, Kathy Kidwell. Pat touched so many in the time she spent on this earth. She helped shape the lives of so many, especially her granddaughter Alex, who she helped raise and was able to teach her so much. Nick and Dina would like to express their gratitude to Pat's special "breakfast ladies" for giving her something to look forward to and a very heartfelt thank you for their care and kindness during Pat's last days to Kristie, Donna, and Dana of Hospice of Butler/Warren County. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Kindred Funeral Home (400 Union Boulevard, Englewood). Interment will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Trotwood at a later date. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
