Phillip TOLLIVER Obituary
TOLLIVER, Phillip 66, of Springfield, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018, in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late John P. and Florence (Moler) Tolliver. Phillip worked for Community Hospital and later the Springfield Regional Medical Center for 45 years. He took great pride in his job caring after the hospital facilities and enjoyed the people he worked with. Phillip loved watching Westerns, Kung Fu movies and fishing with friends and family. He was a quiet soft-spoken person and loved to talk to people, he never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lora Lynn (Wallace) Tolliver, two daughters: Katina (Paul) Crozier, and Ashley (Charles) Rogers; ten grandchildren: Lashara, Lashae, Skiliar, Hunter, Paige, Makayla, Joelle, Auriana, Jaxon and Tre'Shawn; four great grandchildren: Derome, Katana, Milo and Amelia; special cousin, Ruth "Tunnie" (Larry) Wright, son-in-law, Frank (Tiffany) Kitt, in-laws: George (Lillie) Wallace, Bonita (Mark) Tyler, Theodore (Sharon) Wallace, and Phillip (Betty) Wallace; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Monique Kitt, grandson, Solomon Phillip Kitt, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Vernis (Joyce) Wallace. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in the Greater Grace Temple, 380 W. Leffel Ln., Springfield. The family will receive friends from 12-1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in the Ferncliff Cemetery.
