Hi, I have been a fan of dave hoover since seeing him on the Beatty show back in maryland. Had still shots of Clyde Beatty, asked dave was he interested in the shots of Clyde and Harriet, but dave laughed, and said, I have the same shots, knowing they came from Eddie howe. Had a great conversation with dave, and also asked if he needed an assistant, he stated, no, I don't use women, he recommended pat White on Carson and Barnes show, thanks to dave I gained some experience with the cats and pat White working with me as her assistant only for a short time. Anyway, dave was an outgoing guy, and humurous, and Ms. Lois was a wonderful person as well. Anyway, when the Beatty show closed, what a sad day. John pugh is an outstanding person, kept the Beatty Cole circus going with the greatest professionalism all these years, I commend him. Dave will always be in our hearts and mind always. I loved the mother in law act of dave with his cats. Everlasting memory. Dave is here amongst us always. Thanks to all the valiant people that made the Clyde Beatty Cole bros. circus, marvelous. I love you all with a passion, thank you, Carol boggs, an everlasting fan.

I was very sorry to hear about David's passing. My parents and husband were fortunate to see him at the circus in Florida and we really enjoyed all the circus stories he had to tell us. Again, you have my greatest sympathy.

I was sorry to hear about David's passing.
I am a friend of his niece, Teresa Long, and have fond memories of going to see her uncle perform at the circus. He had a true love for his work, and passed that along to all he met. My thoughts are with his family now.

To Polly, Patty, and the Hoover family. I am sorry to hear of David's death. I remember so clearly when he brought two lion cubs to Fenwick, and how exciting it was to know a circus lion tamer.
