James Buchanan Busey V

James Buchanan Busey V, 45, of Lusby, MD, passed away peacefully March 21, 2008 at his home. He was born April 2, 1962 in Monterey, CA to Admiral James B. Busey IV, (Retired) and Jean C. Busey. Jim is also survived by his loving wife Charlotte May Busey whom he married on October 10,1992 in Westminster, MD; two loving children, Jessica Lynn,11, and James Buchanan Busey VI, 8, of Lusby, MD; two sisters, Angela R. B. Presto, husband Michael and daughter Rose of Fresno, CA, and Nancy J. B. Naumann, husband Dennis and son Cole, of Grass Valley, CA. Jim was raised in a career Navy family spending his formative years in Lemoore, CA and Fairfax, VA. He received his degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA. and upon graduation in 1985 was employed with the Navy at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. He attended the Naval Test Pilot program as a member of TPS class 98. He was an investigative engineer with the National Transportation Safety Board and during this time he was the Aircraft Accident Investigator representative to the FBI at the World Trade Center September 11, 2001 tragedy. His most recent work was as the Lead Flight Test Engineer and Manager for small Unmanned Air Systems for Naval Aviation. His devotion to his family was his number one priority. Jim will be remembered primarily for his love for his family but also his engaging personality, great sense of humor and his professional and technical ability.

A Memorial Service and Inurnment took place March 27, 2008 in Lusby, MD.
