Walt is best remembered as a gentleman, always even tempered, always a friend, always friendly to his colleagues and most important, to the public he served. That equals a great cop and one who had my respect during our careers. His family can be justly be proud of him. God rewards men like Walt. May he rest in peace.

Hi Wally,
Just attended your service in Granby and saw and heard from your many friends and your family. Thanks for sharing some of our family birthdays and holidays with us in Canton and Winsted. Thanks for being my escort at movies and lunches to follow over the past several years. We all shared memories of Sharon. Thanks for letting us into your life. You will be missed, dear friend.

What a pleasure it was to first meet Wally (and his Harley) as he took his coffee break at the "roach coach" parked on Myrtle St. Then, years later to bump into him on the golf course in Southwick and extend a friendship for many more years. To a gentleman and a lover of good music, we wish you peace. May the family take comfort in the knowledge Wally was the best. God Bless.
