Edward Knibbs Obituary

Edward Robert Knibbs, 92, of Burlington, CT, son of Milton and Ruth Knibbs passed away peacefully on January 17, 2021 due to COVID related illness. Edward proudly served as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1950-1952. From 1952-1990, he ran his own business, Knibbs Construction Company. After retiring, he continued doing woodworking in his home workshop. He leaves his daughter and son-in-law, Eileen & Richard Carnein, his son Edward A. Knibbs (Skip), his son Wallace C. Knibbs (Wally) and his former wife and companion, Donna Jamul. He also leaves his 3 grandsons and their wives: Mark and Tracy Knibbs, Michael & Danielle Litke, and Steven and Kelly Carnein. He also leaves 6 great-grandchildren who knew him as Bonka. He was predeceased by his second wife, Diana Burke Knibbs, his brothers Donald and John, his grandson Christopher Knibbs and two nephews, John and David Knibbs. We would like to thank the entire staff at Ingraham Manor for making Eddie comfortable for the past month and through to his final moments. A memorial service and celebration of his life will be held at a later date due to so much COVID at this time. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to make a donation in Ed's name to a charity of your choice.
