You will be missed, my friend. Thank you for taking the time to advise, to teach, to be a shoulder to cry on, and for the unconditional kindness you always showed to me and all the other 'can jockeys' at the Redemption Center. You were like the Grandfather we never had. But more importantly, you were a stellar example of what a truly good friend should be: kind, supportive, non-judgmental and always willing to teach, and to listen. Say hi to Luther for me, old pal.

Worked with Dave at the prison on the "hill" in Enfield when I was a rookie. He was always ready to help and guide anyone,"a cop's cop".Can't forget his gravelly voice getting the inmates up in the morning for chow! His was one of the best retirement parties I ever went to.From one sailor to another I say,"Sailor, rest your oar"
