Oh my! So sad to learn of Ted's passing. Ted and I grew up together in Westfield, NJ. We were in lots of classes together and in the group that spent alot of time together....baseball games, beach trips to the Jersey shore and the like. Ted always made a great time together even better.
Sorry to have missed Ted on Leete's Island. We did temp living in 1998 on Leete's Island when relocating to Guilford CT.
My condolences to Ted's family.

I am so saddened to learn of Ted's passing. Ted was a wonderful man, and I had the good fortune of sharing many mutual client relationships with Ted and his office, which enabled regular interactions with him. With nearby offices, we would regularly catch up while grabbing a quick coffee and when Ted would stop to chat while driving past. My condolences to his family, especially his wife and children. You will all be in my thoughts.

Ted was an amazing, caring, and competent attorney. He and my late husband shared many conversations and reflections on places in Italy, especially our fondest memories of the walled city of Lucca. He will be missed.

I was greatly saddened to hear of Ted's demise. I have known Ted as a fellow Attorney for the past 20 plus years. He was highly respected in the legal community, and was happy to share his extensive knowledge. After I was elected as Probate Judge, Ted would often appear in my court and it was always a pleasure to see him. I appointed him to several large complicated matters because I was confident that he would handle them professionally and with a high skill level.
as a fellow car enthusiast, and former Alfa owner we would spend very enjoyable, and countless amounts of time discussing all aspects of his racing adventures and other cars we should have bought.
the lives of those of us that knew Ted either personally or professionally will be greatly diminished by not having his joyful existence with us.

Ted was a wonderful fellow. My husband Jean and I saw him most mornings at the diner in Old Saybrook. I remember one particular time, the three of us sat down together. Ted showed us his home in Guilford; the home he grew up in New Jersey and photos of his beloved family. We was so so sociable and friendly. How could you not enjoy his conversations; whether it be about his love for cars, sometimes his advice on legal issues, and sometimes just everyday affairs. We shall truly miss him. Our hearts to out to his family.

Heather and I are so very sorry to learn of Ted's passing, and wish to send our condolences to all in his family. I am stunned, actually, as Ted exhibited such a youthful exuberance and boyish charm. He was truly one-of-a-kind and even though we have moved away and have not seen Ted for more than two years, I suddenly..............miss him. We are all at a loss, for Ted was a bright light that radiated positivity and fellowship. Thank you, Ted, for enriching our lives as only you could-may you rest in peace.
To Lynn, Clara and Graham-please know that you are very much in our thoughts and prayers.

My wife Joan and I are so sorry to hear about the passing of Ted. He was such a special guy and I feel very fortunate to have known him and call him a friend.
When we moved here 6 years ago, I was lucky enough to meet two great men at the diner, Ted Potter and Jim Howe. We met for breakfast most mornings and had wonderful conversations. Ted was so knowledge in so many different areas and our conversations were always lively. We loved to hear his jokes, about his cars, about his biking escapades, about his trips to Italy, about movies he had seen, about his car racing, about his job and family, and much more. Jim is a former pilot and he andTed talked about flying and airplanes.
When I had my knee replaced and then my hip and couldn't drive, Ted would drive me home from the diner on his way to wrk herrr in Old Lyme. I loved riding in his cool cars, especially the Rolls and the convertible.
We heard a lot about his family and Joan and I got to know and like Graham very much when he mowed our lawn for a couple of summers.
Ever since I heard the the news, I have been very sad and can't believe we won't get together for breakfast again. Our friendship has been very special to me and I will miss him very much.
We send our condolences, thoughts, and prayers to his wife Lynn, his children Clara and Graham, and all hiss extended family and friends.
Goodspeed Ted. Rest In Peace. Tim Baffaro

Lynn & Clara & Graham- Chris and I are so sorry to learn of your huge loss. I knew Ted through the Estate and Tax Planning Council, and mutual clients, and he was an outstanding professional advisor. But more importantly, he was such a great Dad. He was a great supporter of all Clara’s friends, in all their adventures, through out those 6 years together at Williams, and on into college and graduate school. It is a moving obituary, and photo, capturing his kindness, and charm, and energy. We’ll never forget him! Much love and all our support at this difficult time, Laurel And Chris

Ted was so kind to me and my family. Shortly after we moved in a couple of years ago just down the hill, he saw me in the front yard with my three children and gave me a bottle of wine. When I walked my children up and down the street past his home, he would pop out to say hello, and would gladly open up his colorful camper van when my kids asked him to. He was so full of life. We will miss him.
