Guardian Angel Clarence: [to George Bailey] ( from It's a Wonderful Life )

Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?

Looking back with memories, Upon the path you trod, We bless the times we had with you, And leave the rest to God.

Dear Jane, Jimmy and Andy, i was so sorry to hear this news. John, and all of you, were so much a part of my youth. John was a kind and passionate man. He showed me what hard work looked like, as well as how to share the joy and connect with a community of friends. I will remember his laugh, his intensity, his generosity, his kindness. I have no doubt he influenced my life choices as an entrepreneur, parent and community leader. Thank you for sharing a bit of him with me and for your families friendship with mine. Sending love and prayers to all of you. Jayne Turner Battey

It was an honor and privilege to be able to work with Mr. Olson in the Charlestown plant. In my twenty years at Whelen, I never knew of anyone who would not give a 110% effort on a JFO request. He had a very special way of getting people motivated. He will be missed. My sincere condolences to his family.

Jane, Jim, Andy, my heartfelt condolences to you and your families. My life, my family and my employees' lives are a better place because of John. He was a kind and understanding person who was always available to help. As days pass I hope your sadness turns into the joy of knowing how much this man did for so many people. John will surely be missed but the things he built and helped build will live on. Rest in Peace John and God Bless.

John's a man of integrity and stature and I remember fondly the conversations we had both at Whelen and outside of Whelen.

The inventiveness, creativity, imagination, initiative and vision will be missed by all that knew him.

John came from a time when a person stood for something and is characterized by this originality.

May God Bless him and his family!
