I smile when I recall the summer afternoons I spent watching The Guiding Light with Mrs. Swanson, after having mowed the grass on Dayl Drive. What a wonderful woman! I have many great memories of the time I spent with the entire family. Roger, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

You may not remember me, as the kid who lived next door (ArchSt./Kensington Ave). Dickie and I walked to school together way back when. I remember playing with Dickie and Russell (Roger was but a dream at that time). I am now an old lady of 75, but I remember all the fire crackers and sparklers each 4th July. I would watch from my porch next door. You all had relatives surrounding, and I wished I did too. Mine were/are in Sweden. But, now we have many American relatives, too. Ma baked wonderful yeast buns/w/raisins, etc.
The Swanson's were kindness personified. May God be with you all during this difficult time.
