Sister Nancy was a deeply spiritual person. She loved hiking in the Kentucky wilderness. She was my hiking friend. My life was blessed for having met her. I learned a lot about the Appalachian people while I was living with the community. Our yearly Bible School was always a lot of fun with many adventures. Sister Nancy enrichment my life is so many ways -my spiritual life, the simple lifestyle of the Appalachian people. She always loved to play jokes on people. Her laughter was contagious. One thing I remember about her- what a wonderful cook she was. She used to prepared the best meals. Thank you God for allowing me to meet and live with her. May you rest in peace my dear friend.

Sister Nancy was a light in a dark world. We loved her so. She showed compassion to everyone she met. She was a good friend and confidant. Through her compassion and God’s love she helped so many including me. My world will be a little darker now without Sister Nancy. May God comfort all who’s hurting. With love, Beverly,Thomas, Zach and Josh Renfro
