Josie Cicero-Oliveira

Josie Cicero-Oliveira, 39, of South Windsor passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Saturday, (August 2, 2003) at Manchester Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was the beloved daughter of Erika (Sanewytsch) Cicero and the late Mario Cicero. Josie was born on January 24, 1964 in Hartford and lived in South Windsor most of her life graduating from South Windsor High School in 1983. She owned and operated her own business, designing and making pottery and ceramics, called Josie's Creations. Josie loved life and had a vivacious personality; she will be greatly missed by all her relatives and friends. Besides her mother Erika she is survived by her precious daughter, Ashley Oliveira of South Windsor; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Vicki Cicero and her fiance, Bruce Johnson all of South Windsor; and her grandfather, Wasyl Sanewytsch of Wethersfield. Family and friends may gather on Thursday, 9 a.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, South Windsor. Burial will follow in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Josie's memory to a trust fund for her daughter at the Saving's Bank of Manchester.
