CORASH, Ethel (Markman) Ethel (Markman) Corash, of West Hartford, died Wednesday, (September 29, 2004) at Hartford Hospital. She was the widow of Nelson Corash. Born in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Sophie (Friedman) Markman. Mrs. Corash was secretary to the Dean of Arts and Sciences at the University of Hartford before she retired. Prior to that, she owned and operated, with her late husband, the former Cooper's Cut Rate in Milford, MA. She was a member of Beth El Temple of West Hartford. She leaves two daughters, Susan C. Stavola of Wethersfield, and Enid Corash Mikulski with her husband, Michael of South Windsor; a sister, Sarah Friedman of West Hartford; four grandchildren, Nicholas Stavola, Danielle Stavola, Nicole Mikulski, and Jason Mikulski; and three great-grandchildren, Ty, Jaylene and Jaylssa. She was predeceased by two sisters, Rose Adelson and Grace Markman. Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 3, at 9:30 a.m. at Congregation Agudas Achim Cemetery, Zion Hill, Hartford, with Rabbi James Rosen officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Weinstein Mortuary, Hartford.
