Gaetana V. "Tina" (Maimone) Malone, 99, of Windsor Locks, previously of Bloomfield, beloved wife to the late Ferdinand M. Malone, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, June 7, 2021, with her family by her side. Tina was born in Hartford on April 20, 1922, daughter to Marco and Gaetana (Bonafede) Maimone. Tina grew up in Hartford, attended local schools and was a graduate of Weaver High School. In April of 1947, she married the love of her life, Fred, after his return from the war. In 1952, they moved to Bloomfield where they resided for many years. Tina proudly served her community joining various organizations including the Bloomfield Historical Society, the former Wintonbury and Laurel Parks Garden Club, the former Bloomfield Junior and Women's Club as well as the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, as Tina served as the Town of Bloomfield's Town Clerk before her retirement in 1988. Tina was an avid reader whether it be at her home or meeting her friends at the library. She enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and golfing, playing in multiple tournaments throughout the years. She attended many shows at the theater, the opera house and on Broadway. She looked forward to her nights out line dancing and ballroom dancing with her husband Fred. Tina has seen and visited many destinations over her 99 years, including Hawaii, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and many islands throughout the Caribbean. Tina looked forward to her family gatherings and loved to entertain. Her home was always decorated for the appropriate holiday, Christmas and Easter being her favorite. She was an outstanding cook, preparing Sunday and holiday meals for her family and friends. Tina was born with boundless energy and a desire to live her life to the fullest. She continued that energy all the way up until her passing. Her heart was dedicated to being a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother as well as being an honest and true friend to everyone she met. Tina is survived by her two sons, Mark Malone with whom she made her home and Fred Malone and his wife Miriam of Windsor Locks; her daughter-in-law Jean Malone of Windsor Locks; her loving and devoted sister Carole LaCaprucia of South Carolina; five grandchildren Ryan, Jesse, Joseph, Rebecca, and Katherine; seven great-grandchildren Tenley, Callie, Joey, Silas, Paige, Mia and Kennedy as well as nieces and nephews.
