Gertrude "Marilyn" (Veilleux) Morawski, 86, of West Hartford, beloved wife for 39 years of the late Nicholas J. Morawski, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019, surrounded by her family at her home. Born in Waterville, ME on May 7, 1932, daughter of the late Arthur Gideon and Gertrude (Bright) Veilleux, she was raised in Waterville, ME and attended Waterville Public Schools. Marilyn worked in food service for the Bloomfield Public Schools, retiring as a manager in 1997 after 26 years of service. She loved vacationing, bingo, cards and going to the casino. Always kind and generous, Marilyn enjoyed cooking for her loved ones. Most of all, Marilyn loved spending time with her family and dear friends. Marilyn was a parishioner at Sacred Heart in Bloomfield. Her strong faith in God will have her, keep her and hold her as she safely travels back into the arms of her loving husband, Nicholas. Marilyn will be sorely missed and the world is less beautiful with her passing. She leaves four children, Bryon Morawski and his wife Donna, Wayne Morawski and his wife Karen, Janis LaPointe and her husband Thomas, and Mark Morawski and his wife Sandra; a brother, Jerome "Carl" Veilleux; nine grandchildren, Julie Burbank, Kristin McSweeney, Michael Morawski, Stephen Morawski, Kevin Morawski, Shannon Davis, Sean Davis, Christopher LaPointe and Jonathan LaPointe; and six great-grandchildren, Robert "Tre" Burbank, William Burbank, Vincent Burbank, Finley Morawski, Ellie Burbank and Harper McSweeney. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Donald Veilleux; and a sister, Lillian Rondeau. Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 30, 3-7 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Thursday, January 31, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Ave., Bloomfield. Entombment will follow in the Mt.
