Josephine Regier "Terry" Stoddard Obituary
Josephine "Terry" (Nai) Regier Stoddard, 87, of Suffield, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital. Born in Windsor Locks on June 6, 1930, daughter of the late Frank and Angelina (Diana) Nai, she was raised in Windsor Locks and was a graduate of Windsor Locks High School. After school, Terry took a position as a nurse's aide at Hartford Hospital and after starting a family she left to be home with her son, Jack. She later returned to work as a nurse's aide and retired from Wintonbury Continuing Care in Bloomfield in 1993. Terry spent most of her life in Bloomfield. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Church and later Sacred Heart Church, and she was a member of the Blue Hills Avenue Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She leaves a son, Jacob "Jack" Regier and his wife Cheryl of Windsor; two grandchildren, Justin M. Regier and his wife Katelyn of West Simsbury and Lindsay R. Regier and her fiancé Adam Smith of East Hampton; a great-granddaughter, Elle Regier of West Simsbury; a brother, Jerry Nai of Suffield; a sister, Angel McCarthy of Enfield; a brother-in-law, Richard Stoddard and his wife Donna of West Simsbury; and a great grandson, Baby Smith who will be born in July. She was predeceased by her first and second husbands, Frank F. Regier and Ralph Edwin Stoddard; four brothers, Joseph, Charles, Peter, and Mario Nai; and three sisters, Mary Landry, Frances Sic, and Phillys Fisher. Her family will receive friends on Thursday, May 3, 4-7 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. Family and friends may gather on Friday, May 4, 9:00 a.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 10 a.m., at Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield. Entombment will follow in the Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery Mausoleum, Bloomfield. Memorial donations may be made to the , 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
