Leopold A. "Leo" Hacia Obituary
Leopold "Leo" A. Hacia, 85, of Bloomfield, beloved husband of Margaret (Olden) Hacia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at Kimberly Hall Nursing Home in Windsor. Born in Hartford to the late Leopold and Martha (Kriss) Hacia, he lived all his life in Bloomfield and was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield. Leo served his country proudly with the US Army during the Korean War. He was a volunteer at the Bloomfield Senior Center, an avid UCONN Women's Basketball fan, and enjoyed fishing, gardening and trips to the casino. Besides his wife Margaret, he is survived by his sons, Gary Hacia and his wife Joanie, Douglas Hacia and his wife Lori, Scott Hacia and his wife Yolanda, John Hacia and his significant other Michelle; and his grandchildren, who he lived for, Michael, Nicholas, Christopher, Joshua, Daniel, Alexander, Joseph, Megan, Zachary and Jonathan. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, June 26 at Sacred Heart Church, 26 Wintonbury Ave Bloomfield. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
