I worked with Lydia for over 10 years at the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services for over 10 years. She was an exceptionally good worker and even more important a friend to all. Her generosity knew no bounds.
I stayed in touch with Lydia regularly over the years of her and my retirement and she was a joy to have as a friend and a fine example for all. . I know she will light up heaven just as she did with the her friends. My sympathy to her family

I had kept in touch with her after she retired from The State Department of Social Services. We would meet for lunch occasionally and I would call her a couple of times a week just to talk. And she loved her cats. I worked with her for about 29 years and she always had a smile on her face and was never afraid to crack a good joke. She liked her job at DSS and had a lot of friends there. She will be missed by all who knew her. I think the thing I will miss the most is not being able to talk with her on the phone.
