Marianne E. "Ric" Riccio Obituary
Born in Hartford, daughter of Michael F. and Antoinette (Pallone) Riccio, and predeceased by her sister Barbara E. Riccio-Woods. Prior to her retirement in 2005, she was the executive secretary for the purchasing department at M.D.C. Marianne enjoyed cooking large meals and spending time with family and friends. She devoted her life to God and her church, and was instrumental in recruiting her family to do the same. Marianne volunteered her time at churches, as a missionary to Haiti and Honduras and the numerous local and country wide charities, she touched many lives. Marianne traveled the world with 'M's. Spending time with her sister Barb was one of her greatest joys. They were a team, always at each other's beckon call. They enjoyed trips to Italy, Honduras, and a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. Marianne was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and Godmother; she will be missed by all. Marianne is survived by her nephew Blaise Riccio PhD and fiancé Kim Sabottke of Wethersfield, CT. She also leaves behind a host of dear and close cousins and friends including the last 'M'. Marianne's last and final gift was the Quinnipiac School of Medicine. A funeral mass will be celebrated upon her return.
