Michael Steven Kucinskas, 59, beloved husband, brother, uncle and nephew died unexpectedly on October 16, 2018. Michael, son of the late Sally Ann (Lyman) and Stanley Kucinskas, was born in Hartford, CT on October 2, 1959. He graduated from South Windsor High School in 1977. He then pursued a theology degree at Wesleyan University and was a brother in the Chi Psi fraternity. After graduating in 1981, Michael developed an interest in computer technology. He worked as an information technology consultant beginning at Mass Mutual and continuing on to Cigna, where he spent most of his career. More recently Michael was a partner of Factorum Inc., a computer consultant company. Michael played football for Wesleyan and continued his love of the sport as an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. He loved golf and passionately pursued the knowledge and skills of the game as he strove for excellence. He was a long time member of the Wednesday Night Insurance Golf League and treasured the friendship and camaraderie of his fellow players. He was also a loved member of the TPC in Cromwell, CT. Mike treasured his time as an advanced SCUBA diver. His protective side was displayed when diving with friends making sure all were safe and enjoying the adventure of underwater exploration. Those who knew and loved him were entertained by his witty sense of humor. Michael is survived by his wife of 16 years Carol A. Petruff, MD of West Hartford, two brothers Richard Stanley Kucinskas and wife Shelagh (Gleeson) of VA and Thomas S. Kucinskas and wife Artjana (Meco) of FL.
