CONDREN, Robert J.
Robert J. Condren, 90, of Newington, passed away on Monday, (February 5, 2013), at Evergreen Health Care Center, Stafford Springs. He was the beloved husband of the late Katherine (Baine) Condren. Born and raised in Hartford, son of the late Joseph and Katherine (Rooney) Condren, he was a Newington resident for 57 years. Robert served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was an active member of St. Mary's Church, Newington. He was an avid swimmer all his life and retired from SNET after 36 years of employment. A loving and devoted father and grandfather, he leaves his two daughters, Maureen Lowe and her husband Frank, Jr. of Ellington, and Leslie Ann Condren-Migliorato and her companion Jobe Harris of Waimanalo, HI; his three granddaughters, Bridget Morales, Abbey Lowe and Shaundra Condren-Migliorato; five great-grandsons. He also leaves his daughter-in-law, Karen Condren; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his wife, he was predeceased by his son William Condren; his daughter Susan Condren; his brother Raymond Condren and his sister Anna Wilson.
Robert's funeral service will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Newington. He will be laid to rest with military honors in West Meadow Cemetery, Newington. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday prior to the service from 9:30-10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 626 Willard Ave., Newington. Memorial donations may be made to the Neuromuscular Clinic at the Hospital for Special Care, 4150 Corbin Avenue, New Britain, CT 06053. Dearest Leslie and family,
Im so sorry I just found out about your dad. I hadnt heard from you and I was thinking about your dad because of my mom. Its a difficult thing losing a parent especially both. I do believe though your dad had a wonderful full life as my mom has had. Im sure hes resting in peace now with your mom and siblings. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
