Robert Walter Kent Obituary

Robert Walter Kent, age 84, of Clinton, formerly of West Hartford, died peacefully on March 2, 2018. He was employed during the 1950's at Chandler Evans, Inc. in West Hartford and served four years in the Air National Guard. He was a past member of the American Legion, Post #96, in West Hartford. Later in life he became an electrician with Hartford Local #35 from which he retired. Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman whose love of the outdoors and penchant for hijinks lives on in his children and grandchildren. He is predeceased by his older brother, Ernest Kent, who was killed in the Korean war, as well as a younger brother, Albert Kent. He is survived by his former wife and devoted friend, Lynn Kent, two remaining brothers; Harry Kent and Donald Kent, his children Ernest Kent and wife Carolyn of West Hartford, Michael Kent of Kienberg, Switzerland, Christine Kent of Ft. Lauderdale Florida, and Robert Kent of Chicago, Illinois. He also leaves three grandchildren, Michael, Keith, and Jeffrey Kent as well as three great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his lifelong friend, Robert Sheehan. Our deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Watrous Nursing Center who cared for Bob like a family member. Services will be held at Molloy Funeral Home 906 Farmington Ave. West Hartford. Calling hours; Tuesday, March 6th from 4:00-7:00pm. Funeral; Wednesday, March 7th, 11:00 am.
