Rosemary Knapp Obituary

Rosemary Shavel Knapp passed away on Wednesday, September 11 at the age of 74. She died at her home in Bristol, CT, the home where she and her husband, the late George Knapp, passed most of the days of their happy marriage. Except for their trips to Hawaii, they led a mostly quiet life together, enjoying every moment of every day they passed in each other's loving company. Rosemary was born on July 4, 1945 in Connellsville, PA, the daughter of the late John E. Shavel and the late Rose (Stanchak) Aspinwall. She is survived by her brother Edward Shavel and his wife, Sonia Shavel, of Plainville, CT; step-son G. David Knapp and his wife, Dani-Jean Stuart, of Weare, NH; step-daughter Kathi Knapp Clough and her husband, Gene Clough, of Orange, CA; and step-son Jason Knapp and his husband, James Cameron, of Toronto, ON. She also leaves behind a large circle of friends who will remember her fondly for the beauty she brought into their lives. The family will welcome friends at a wake, beginning at 9:45 am on Wednesday, September 18 at O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Avenue, Forestville. The mass of christian burial will follow at 11:00 am at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 120 Church Avenue, Forestville. A committal service and interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 522 Terryville Avenue, Bristol.
