Thomas S. Cosgrove Jr., 46, of Coventry, beloved husband of Lisa (Guimond) Cosgrove was welcomed into Heaven by his father, Thomas S. Cosgrove Sr., on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Thomas was born on August 30, 1971 in Hartford, CT, the son of Maxine (Wing) Cosgrove and the late Thomas S. Cosgrove Sr. He grew up in Manchester and graduated from Manchester High School with the Class of 1989, although he was considered honorary member of the class of 1988. In school he excelled in football, wrestling and played Little League baseball. Tommy married the love of his life, Lisa Guimond on June 2, 1995 and they lived in E. Hartford before moving to Coventry in 2002. He followed in his father's footsteps and worked as an electrician. He was a proud member of the IBEW Local #35. Tommy was a loving, friendly, and giving man who made many friends throughout the years. He enjoyed Kennebunk Beach with the first stop always being at the Clam Shack, the casino, and was a Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. He was the life of the party. A devoted husband and loving adoring father, he will be dearly missed. Along with his mother, Maxine of Manchester, and his wife Lisa of Coventry he leaves his cherished daughter, Makayla Cosgrove of Coventry who was "Daddy's little girl". They were always inseparable. Tommy also leaves his brother, Michael Cosgrove of Manchester; his sister Lori Cosgrove of Manchester; his uncles, David Wing and his wife Natalie, and Richard Cosgrove; his close cousins, Aaron Wing, Kristy Naski, and David Wing and their families; his maternal grandfather Harold Wing; his mother-in-law, Sharon Guimond; his sister-in-law, Patricia Moss and her husband Russ; his niece Caitlin Leduc and nephew Jake Leduc, and many special friends and his brothers & sisters of the Local #35. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Vera "Ma" Wing, his paternal grandmother, Ruth "Nanny" Cosgrove, his paternal grandfather, Thomas J. Cosgrove, his father-in-law, Robert Guimond, and all who went before him. His family will receive friends on Thursday, February 22, 2018, from 5 - 8 p.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2018, 10 a.m., at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery in Bloomfield.
