Frank McGINLEY Obituary

MCGINLEY, Frank H. Franklin "Frank" H. McGinley, 78 of Vernon, passed away Wednesday (September 1, 2010) at Rockville General Hospital after many years of poor health and medical challenges. He moved to CT in the early 70's and retired from The Hartford Insurance Group in 1996. An avid reader and opera buff, Frank enjoyed sports and spending time with his wife of 20 years, Janice. He leaves a daughter Katherine Gagnon (husband Keith) of Plainville and children Kyle and Keira, son Alexander McGinley (wife Liu Qi) of Torrington and son Julian, and their mother Marilyne McGinley of Vernon; a sister, Audrey Davenport of Highland, CA; Janice's two sons, James Citron of Emeryville, CA and Geoffrey Citron (wife Dana) of Saratoga Springs, NY and children Hannah and Zoe; and two brothers-in-law, Ralph Perry (wife Jolie) of Dallas, TX and David Perry (wife Cate) of New Bedford, MA. The family wishes to thank the folks at Woodlake at Tolland and Rockville General Hospital for all their compassionate care. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Sunday (September 5th) at Temple Beth Hillel Cemetery, 25 Edith Rd., South Windsor, CT 06074. There will be no public calling hours. In lieu of flowers, please honor Frank by supporting your local public radio and television or by sending donations to WNPR Connecticut Public Broadcasting, Inc., 1049 Asylum Ave., Hartford, CT 06105.
