McMASTER, Nancy White

Nancy White McMaster, 84, of West Hartford and formerly of Farmington, died Thursday, (February 21, 2013) at her home. Born May 14, 1928 in Hinsdale, IL, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn and David White. As an education major, she attended Miami University in Oxford, OH and was a graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, IL where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. Nancy was employed at the UConn Health Center until her retirement in 1989 where she worked as the administrative assistant to the Vice President of Academic Affairs. She enjoyed participating in many sports, especially tennis, badminton, and golf and was a charter member of Red Oak Hill Swim Club, Farmington. Bridge games, bowling, and following the UConn Women's basketball team were some of her favorite pastimes. She will be missed by her three daughters, Lindsay and her husband Thomas Bullinger of Maple Grove, MN, Sarah Frederking of Berwyn, IL, and Jane and her husband James Vallee of Farmington; seven grandchildren, Douglas Bullinger and his wife Natalie, Laura Bullinger Behnken and her husband Jonathan, Andrea Bullinger, Julia Frederking Fisher and her husband Patrick, David Frederking, Lisa Vallee and Ben Vallee; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn Meyer of Western Springs, IL.
Her family will receive friends Saturday, March 9, 10-11 a.m. at Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center, 301 Country Club Rd., Avon. A Memorial Service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in West Avon Cemetery. Nancy's family wishes to thank the MacAuley staff and all of her loving and compassionate caregivers.
