Sharon Gale Obituary

Sharon Gale, 59, of Coventry, CT passed away on 1/5/2014 at the end of her long battle with breast cancer. Sharon was born in Manchester, CT on 1/4/1955. She graduated from Coventry High School and continued on to receive training from the New England School of Acupuncture. Sharon was self-employed as a healer, providing massage therapy, energy work, and acupuncture for over 30 years and was actively involved in supporting others in their battles with cancer. She enjoyed hiking, playing cards, spending time with family, friends, and her dogs, Shelby and Kayde. Sharon loved, played, and enjoyed life to the fullest and is remembered as kind and patient, loving and grateful. All throughout her fight with cancer, and in spite of times of immense challenge, she held onto her positivity, generosity, and wonderful sense of humor. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents Irene and Richard Gale. She is survived by her son, Michael Gale and his fiancé, Jennifer Marro, brothers, Bruce Gale and Gary Gale, sister Trena Gale, sisters-in-law, Lori Boucher and Mary Gale, brother-in-law, Joe Kimbar, nieces and nephews, Gary Gale, Jessica Gale, and Elizabeth Boucher, and by countless friends and family. A memorial service will be held on Friday 1/10/14 at 6:30pm at The First Congregational Church of Coventry. Pastor Sara Worcester will be officiating. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Coventry Pietras Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The First Congregational Church of Coventry. The family of Sharon Gale wishes to thank the wonderful people at The Gray Cancer Center, the caring and supportive people from VNA East Hospice, and the many dedicated friends that supported and helped Sharon during her illness.
