I am re looking at this today as Sharon changed my life. Like so many others I miss her every day.
I recently had a daughter who was born on February 12, 2018. My friend Arlene brought to my attention that it was the day that Sharon passed three years earlier. Sharon knows that I am not great at dates and linear time but when this was brought to my awareness I have been thinking of it a lot obviously.
It is a fact that my little one Margaux would not exist if not for SWG, IMT, and my own practice of IMT which saved my uterus from hysterectomy back in 1999 and beyond.. but as I was holding my baby yesterday deep in the stillness and unspeakable love that is... what came to me was: February 12th.. something enormous taken. something enormous given back..
So here I am in reflection. Nice that this still has a place to feel connected.
In gratitude.
Let me give you one last hug and it will be forever...
yes it will.
In love and light.

I just found out about Sharons passing as I searched for her online while watching one of her various lectures that I had gone to many years ago. She was an inspiration, a mentor, and a healer for me as a physical therapist, and I have never forgotten the powerful impact and presence that she had on those she taught and those she healed. She was a giant in her field, but was accessible and personable. She had hands like NO other, world renowned, healing hands. I was lucky enough to be chosen by her to perform the most difficult and lengthy technique of the course, known as the slump (as she observed me fidgeting in my seat in pain t/o the day). The technique healed my low back pain which had been impacting and impeding my life for almost a decade. She gave me back my life, I have never forgetten her and will be eternally grateful. There has never been a doubt in my mind that I had the best and most effective treatment and that I would not have been able to achieve a result remotely as favorable on my own or through conventional therapies and medicine. I was touched by an angel.

I first met Sharon as a patient in 1984. So inspired
by her work, I later attended a number of courses. She and the gifted
group of practitioners she built around her had the most profound impact on my life and on the lives of others I sent her way. Her smile and her passion for her work will never be forgotten.
Truly an angel

So very sad to learn of the passing of this very gifted and brilliant woman. I met Sharon many years ago at Mt. Sinai Hospital Physical Therapy and then worked briefly for her at Regional Physical Therapy. My deepest sympathy to Nim, Ayelet and Amir whom I babysat for often when they were little. I am so very sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers

Without the unwavering commitment to whole body therapy that Sharon exemplified and that her compassionate colleagues at Center IMT pursued, I am convinced that my late first wife Judy would have succumbed to the neurological consequences of her four tick-related diseases much sooner and with greater suffering than she did.

I am so very saddened by the loss of a brilliant manual therapist, Sharon Giammatteo (Weiselfish) who was a mentor, who taught me so much about helping patients through healing touch therapies, through advanced manual therapies, who challenged my linear thinking, who I challenged by asking her so many darn questions when no one else would (she never got annoyed), who was loving, and treated everyone with complete kindness. She taught globally and touched many lives. I held in my tears all day...no longer. We share a birthday...both Taurus no less and I never knew her middle name was Honey. My heart goes out to her family, her staff, her students, and to all who feel this tremendous loss. I celebrate her gifts. I didn't get to tell her that her work on bone bruise technique will be featured in a journal article that I wrote which is being published soon. She would be thrilled and proud!
