Robert Stelzer Obituary
Robert J. Stelzer, Sr., beloved husband of Marcella (Kuhl) Stelzer, died Thursday April 16, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Born March 12, 1929 in Chicago, IL, son of the late Frank and Mary (Sinnott) Stelzer, he had lived in Glastonbury since 1969. Prior to his retirement in 1988 he worked for The Hartford for 38 years. Bob graduated from St. Rita High School and attended DePaul University. He was a member and very active in St. Dunstan Church. Besides his wife he is survived by his 3 children. Sharon Stelzer of Waltham, MA, Robert J. Stelzer, Jr. of Simsbury, Mary Beth Stelzer of South Windsor, 2 sisters Therese Stelzer of Glastonbury, Mary Sevik of Reisterstown, MD and 5 grandchildren, Nicholas, Deanna, Danielle, James and Elijah and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday April 20 at 10am in St. Dunstan Church,1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury on Sunday April 19 from 2-5pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Dunstan Church, 1345 Manchester Rd., Glastonbury, CT. 06033. For online condolences please visit www.mulryanfh.com.
