Frank Rarus Obituary

Ormond Beach Florida- Frank Andrew Rarus, 79, died Friday September 4th, 2015 at Florida Memorial Hospital in Ormond Beach following a brief illness. He was the son of Andrew Rarus and Anna (Stankowski) Rarus (both deceased). He leaves his wife of 38 years, Gloria Rarus; his sister, Patricia Dooley and his two sons Andy Rarus and Tim Rarus and a daughter, Kim Jennifer Rarus. He leaves behind eight grandchildren between the ages 26 to 11 years old, and three step-grandchildren, ages 35 to 27. Frank was born in Middletown and raised in Moodus, Conn. He later lived in Hartford and Newington Connecticut where he attended school. He relocated to Florida in the 1988 with his wife Gloria where they were able to enjoy retirement. He spent his last years in Ormond Beach. Frank worked at United Tool & Die as sheet metal worker in West Hartford, Conn for 23 years. Frank graduated from American School for the Deaf in Hartford, Connecticut. He was very active in sports with a real love for basketball, baseball and basketball. He met his wife Gloria in Newington and they married in 1977. The family has chosen to have a private service to memorialize Frank.
