Jillaine Furey Trodo, 79, of Englewood, FL died peacefully surrounded by family on December 16, 2017. She was born in Hartford, CT on June 13, 1938 and was the wife of James Trodo. Jillaine is survived by two sons; David Connolly, Jr and his wife Nancy of Branford, CT and Dennis Connolly and his wife Paula of Riverview, FL, three daughters; Kathleen Connolly Guild and her husband Alan of Kensington, CT, Kelly Connolly Conforti and her husband Phil of St. Petersburg, FL, and Erin Connolly Goodrich and her husband David of Cheshire, CT, a brother; Stephen Furey of Ashland, OR, two sisters; Anne Furey of Toledo, OH and Francine Perreault of Southington, CT, eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Jillaine was a graduate of St. Francis Hospital Nursing School and a registered nurse for over 40 years; she passionately cared for her patients and their families at St. Francis Hospital and the Connecticut Veterans Hospital. After serving as Supervisor of Nursing at the Veterans Hospital, she worked as a real estate agent on the Connecticut shoreline before retiring full-time to Englewood, FL. Jillaine's contagious smile and laugh could light up any room. She loved the color green and living by the water; her positive energy, zest for life and bold laughter will not be forgotten. Jillaine was always the life of the party and her larger than life personality will be greatly missed. Jillaine's funeral will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:30AM with a mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Assisi Church, 5265 Placida Road, Grove City, FL. Interment of ashes ceremony immediately following mass at St. Francis Assisi. For Jillaine's friends and family in Connecticut, a mass will be held January 20, 2018 at 11:30AM at St. James Church, 767 Elm Street, Rocky Hill, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Veterans Hospital - Veterans Recreation Fund at CT Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Recreation Fund, 287 West Street, Rocky Hill, CT 06067
