Mildred E. (Erickson) Robertson, of Newington, wife of Alan L. Robertson Sr., passed away Saturday (January 6, 2018) at The Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain after a brief illness. She was born October 26, 1926 to the late Anna (Chismark) Erickson and Ivar Erickson. Mildred graduated from New Britain High School as a member of the National Honor Society. She also attended Teacher's College, which is now Central Connecticut State University. Mildred worked for the Bell Telephone Company in both New Britain and New York City before staying home to raise her family. She then worked for The Capital Area Health Consortium and The Christian Conference of Churches. Mildred was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church of the Reformation in New Britain. She enjoyed traveling with her family, music and dancing. Besides her loving husband of 69 years, Mildred is survived by two children, a son, Alan L. Robertson Jr. and his wife Nancy and a daughter, Shelby Robertson, all of New Britain. In addition, Mildred leaves three grandchildren; Matthew Robertson and his wife Jesse of Sacco, ME, Erica Robertson of Farmington, CT and Adam Robertson and his wife Rebecca of Norwich, CT. A funeral service will be held Wednesday 12 Noon at the Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT 06051 followed by burial in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. Calling hours will be at 11 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Lutheran Church of the Reformation, 77 Franklin Square, New Britain, CT 06051.
