Theodore R. Owens, Jr., 67, of New Britain departed this life Tuesday, January 2, 2018. He was born in Hartford on May 26, 1950 to the late Theodore R. Owens, Sr. and Nellie (Hartfield) Owens. Theodore was a fan of the Green Bay Packers and also enjoyed going to buffets. He leaves to cherish his memory, the mother of his children, Deborah Owens (Robinson), sons, Theodore R. Owens, III, Anthony Owens, Dione Owens, Michael Owens, daughter, Sherelle Owens, 32 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves a son, Tylon Dawson and a loving companion, Lynda Tatum, step-daughter, Kynei Tatum and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides his parents, Theodore was predeceased by his daughter, Rosemary Owens and brothers, Floyd and Larry Hartfield. A celebration of his life will take place Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00am at Henry L. Fuqua Funeral Service (A Division of Howard K. Hill Funeral Services), 94 Granby Street, Bloomfield, CT, 06002, with a calling hour from 10:00AM-11:00AM. Interment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Bloomfield.
