Veneeda "Nita" Oden Irby

Veneeda "Nita" Oden Irby, 87, of Pelham, AL, died April 6, 2013 at her home. Graveside services will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Petal.

Mrs. Irby was a nurse for Dr. Felts, Sr. and Jr. in Hattiesburg as well as for Dr. Charles Anderson in Lake Charles, La. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ray Irby; her parents, Roberta Talley Oden and James Herman Oden; and a brother-in-law, Judson R. Rouse.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Brenda (Irby) and Charles Randy Veal of Pelham, AL.; a sister, Willie Lou Oden Rouse of Wilmington, NC; a niece, Sandy Pratt of Wilmington, NC; two nephews, Jim Rouse and Jud Rouse both of Wilmington, NC; as well as several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
