Joyce Tadlock, 87, of Hattiesburg, died Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Magnolia Place Assisted Living. She passed away peacefully with her three children by her side.
She is survived by her husband, John R. Tadlock, Sr. of Hattiesburg; her children, Paula Jennings (Ralph) of New York City, John R. Tadlock, Jr. (Kathy) of Decatur, Ala. and Toni Floyd (Steve) of Hattiesburg, and one brother, Edwin Lloyd Pittman of Jackson. She was a loving Nana to seven grandchildren: Alma Jennings, Matthew Jennings, Lawrence Tadlock, Maggie Tadlock, Forrest Floyd, Chase Floyd, and Ali Floyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Pauline Pittman; a sister, Mary Ann Francis; and two brothers, Kelly Lamar Pittman and Reid "Buddy" Pittman.
Joyce was a stay-at-home mom for thirty years before becoming a real estate agent in 1976 with Colonial Realty. A few years later, she opened her own real estate agency, Joyce Tadlock Realty, where she worked until the age of 82. She loved her family, the city of Hattiesburg, and the many agents and clients she worked with over her career. Joyce was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Monday, October 10, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, with services immediately following at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
