Wauteen Aultman Cochran

Hattiesburg, MS

Wauteen Aultman Cochran, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Emeritus Assisted Living in Hattiesburg, MS.

She was born March 5, 1928 to Grover and Lowah Aultman of Seminary, MS.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Hattiesburg. Mrs. Cochran had a long working career and retired from Bell South Telephone Co. now known as AT&T. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a member of Telephone Pioneers.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William C. (Dub) Cochran; her parents, Grover and Lowah Aultman of Seminary and a brother, G.C. Aultman of Sumrall.

She is survived by her son William C. (Bill) Cochran and his wife, Dianne of Hattiesburg; her grandchildren, Kelly Cochran Greer and her husband, Kyle and their children, Kylie and Kaitlyn of Hattiesburg; Brent Cochran and his wife, Jennifer and their daughter, Carsyn and son Cade of Ocean Springs, MS; a sister, Martha Moorhead of Little Rock, AR; two brothers, Leroy Aultman of Seminary and Jerry Aultman of Bracketville, TX; also a host of nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the wonderful care she received by her sitters, the RA's and nurses of Emeritus Assisted Living, and Forrest General Hospice.

Memorials may be made in her honor to Immanuel Baptist Church of Hattiesburg or the American .

Services will be at 11:30 AM Wednesday with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
