Nicholas Robert Scott Jeffries, age 21, of Shelbyville, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019. He was born on Sept. 27, 1997, to Kara J. Olson in Louisville. Nicholas worked at Neil Medical Group in Middletown, where he was a pharmacy technician pursuing his certification. He was a 2015 graduate of Eminence Independent High School. Nicholas loved music, animals and late-night adventuring with Tyler. His gentle kindness was cherished by his family, friends and those who had the pleasure to know him. Nicholas was a loving son, nephew, cousin, grandson and friend.
Nicholas was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Marguerite Carolyn McClain Tipton; his great-grandfather, Hugh A. Tipton; his great-uncle, William Bryan Tipton; his grandmother, Diane T. Olson; and his father.
Nicholas is survived by his mother, Kara J. Olson of Shelbyville; his aunt, Jessica S. Olson (Jesse Van) of Indiana; his cousin and best friend, Tyler Z. Olson of Indiana; his grandfathers, Bruce O. Olson of Minnesota and Scott Corn (Myssi) of Simpsonville; his great-aunts, Janice T. Kauffman of California and Carol T. Davis of Shelbyville; and many other loving family members.
A celebration of Nicholas' life was held on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at Simpsonville Baptist Church.
The family will be making a charitable contribution to an organization in Nicholas' memory. Those who would like to contribute can make a donation to the Nicholas Jeffries Memorial Fund held by Fifth Third Bank.
