Timothy Allen Banta, age 59 of the Franklinton community of Pleasureville, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at his residence. He was born Nov. 19, 1959, in Shelbyville, and was the son of the late James and Mona Ivers Banta. He was a roofer with Insulated Roofing Contractors, and a member of the Christian faith.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Gentry of Franklinton; one son, Christopher Allen Banta of Eminence; two daughters, Tiffany Gentry of Franklinton and Brittany Gentry of Owenton; three brothers, Rick Banta (Betty) of Eminence, Terry Banta of Fort Worth, Texas and Tony Banta (Lisa) of Clearwater, Florida; three sisters, Linda Morris of Shelbyville, Nancy Whisman of Shelbyville and Sandy Evans (Kenny) of Port Royal; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2019, at Sholar Funeral Home of Pleasureville. Kenny Evans and Ricky Holcomb officiated. Burial was in Cropper Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brandon Thomas, Aaron Louden, James Baker, David Husband, Josh Price, Richie Banta and Anthony White.
