Tommy Tygrett Obituary
TOMMY LYNN TYGRETT, 74, passed away peacefully at home on November 7, 2025. Tom was born in Fayetteville, West Virginia, and grew up in Jackson County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas E. and Jean Tygrett of Ripley, WV, and his daughter, Jennifer Tygrett.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Gwen Tygrett, and their two daughters, Melissa Woodson (Jeff) from Mechanicsville, VA, and Megan Ray (Todd) of Barboursville, WV. He is also survived by his siblings, Steve Tygrett, Rich Tygrett, and Debbie Armstead. Tom was a devoted grandfather to five grandchildren who were his whole world Ava, Addison, and Parker Ray, and Chase and Cole Woodson. Tom's face would light up whenever he saw his grandchildren; they brought him endless joy and happiness.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Collins and the staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center for their exceptional care and compassion for Tom during this difficult time.
Service arrangements will be made at a later date.

Tom was my neighbor for 29 years. I have always lived at the end of a road during my 4 relocations. I was in the customer service business for 45 years and valued my privacy but Tom & I met at the fence during our summer chores and spoke for time on end with good conversation & laughter. Dear friend I will miss those times. R.I. P. My Friend! My condolences to Quinn & Family.
