CHARLES ROBERT BECKETT

1937 - 2014

CHARLES ROBERT BECKETT, 77, of Huntington, left this life and went into the presence of the Lord on Friday December 19, 2014. Born April 24, 1937 in Huntington, he was preceded in death by his parents, Charles David Beckett and Grace Woods Beckett, his maternal grandparents, Rev. John Franklin Woods and Daisy Kate Bossinger Woods, and his paternal grandparents James Edward Beckett and Cora Davis Beckett, all of Huntington. Charles is survived and loved dearly by his wife, Eleanore David Beckett, and his four children, Mark and Christine Beckett of Montclair, N.J., David Beckett of Brooklyn, N.Y., Adam and Suzanne Beckett of Wauwatosa, Wis., and Grace Beckett of West Hartford, Conn. He is also survived by six very much loved grandchildren, Samuel, Elizabeth and Hannah of Montclair, N.J., Jack and Lily of Wauwatosa, Wis., and Jake Scheinblum of West Hartford, Conn. He is also survived and loved by a very special niece and nephew, John and Joanne Farrell, and their children, Katherine and Joseph, of Williston Park, N.Y. Charles worked for most of his life in art sales, art framing and related paper products and retired from Prime Copy Plus in Huntington. He was a gifted photographer and a graduate of Ohio University. His primary goal in his adult life, however, was to better know Christ and to make him known to the people around him. Charles liked people. He always had an easy smile for others and a sincere interest in those he met. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family No memorial service is planned.
