1948 - 2016

PRISCILLA DAWN HOLLEY LUCAS. Heaven received an angel this past Thanksgiving morning, November 24, 2016. Priscilla was born January 23, 1948, in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of Phyllis Davis Brace of Barboursville, W.Va., and Dalton "Buck" Holley (deceased) of Burlington, Ohio. She was a longtime companion and loving wife of Gary "G.G." Gaines Lucas (deceased) of Mont Verde, Florida. Upon graduating from Huntington East High School in 1965, Priscilla moved to Orlando, Fla., where she raised her daughter, Kimberly Dawn Johnson Compton. Priscilla was a successful real estate agent with Century 21 Orlando for many years. As an entrepreneur, she opened her own real estate appraisal company. After retiring from the real estate industry, Pris enjoyed her most recent endeavor as owner and operator of the bakery, Party Flavors. Pris and her team earned many industry awards, such as countless Vendor's Choice awards, The Knot.com Best Weddings and the coveted The Knot.com Hall of Fame. Many industry peers and friends said that Pris' smile would light up any room. Her three granddaughters, Tiffany Compton, Apryl Compton and Jesse Compton, were the reason behind that fantastic smile. Added to these blessings were her four great-grandchildren, Connor, Ryder, Holland and Harper. They were her life. She loved these children "to the moon and back." Additional survivors include Priscilla's sister whom she loved dearly, Teresa Jane "Janie" Holley Cardoza of Mont Verde, Florida, her West Virginia and Florida families, and a multitude of friends. A memorial service in Priscilla's honor will be held at First Baptist Church in Mont Verde, Fla., on Saturday, December 3, 2016. The Orlando wedding industry is holding a celebration of Pris' life on December 1. Priscilla will always be remembered by friends and family as a wonderful soul and kind spirit. Rest easy, our beautiful and dear friend, until we meet again.
