KANTROWITZ, BARBARALEE ROSS, aged 84 of Miami, Florida sadly passed away on March 27th after a short illness. Barbaralee grew up in Bloomfield, New Jersey. She attained a BA in Education, an MA in Linguistics from NYU and an MA in Administration from Hunter College. Barbaralee dedicated her working life to education, teaching in the NYC School system, retiring as a senior administrator in the NYC Board of Education and in later years lecturing on art and artists in her home state of Florida. She received NYC High School Teacher of English Award, The Outstanding Teacher Award from Chicago University and produced several texts on Special Education. A lover of beautiful things, she has been a lead docent for the Bass Museum and is the author of the children's book, Harry Barry Brown. Barbaralee is survived by a daughter, son in law and two grandsons who live in Wales, UK. A memorial service will be held, date to be announced.
