Coral Gables, Florida - Carlos Alberto Abaunza Hunter, 61, left us on February 28, 2021, with his family by his side in Coral Gables, FL.
Carlos is survived by his wife – Maria; children – Maria, Ana, and Carlos; children-in-law – Gabriel, Stephanie; grandchildren – Sofia, Julia, Emily, Lucas, and Mia; his mother – Ana Gladys; his siblings – Richard, George, Ana, and Alvaro; his brother-in-law – Javier; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father – Leonidas; his brothers – Leonidas, Roger, and Mario.
A funeral service is scheduled for 9:30 am on Friday, March 12th, at the Church of the Little Flower in Coral Gables (2711 Indian Mound Trail, Coral Gables, FL 33134). It will be live streamed via the church's website. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Glioblastoma Foundation - https://glioblastomafoundation.org/get-involved/donate.

Carlos was my classmate at Immaculata LaSalle (Class of 1977). He was such a kind hearted man throughout his entire life. He left behind a wonderful legacy - his beautiful family. Maria, please know that you will continue to be in my prayers. May the Lord wrap you in His loving arms. Requiescat in Pace.
