BELAIEF, ELEANOR R. "Ellie", of Miami, FL passed away peacefully on April 10, 2018. She was born in New York to Louis and Henrietta Heller. Ellie was a long time employee of Coral Gables Animal Hospital, Coral Gables, Florida and spent much of her personal life helping and loving homeless and stray animals. She will be remembered by those who knew her for her strength, compassion, her love for animals and her sharp wit. Ellie will be missed by her son, Bruce M. Belaief; grand-daughters, Brandyn Bowman and Blair Belaief; grandson, Blake Belaief, great grandchildren Holly Bowman, Luke Bowman and Blair Vogler; her dear long time friends, Ellie McCullough, Gayle G. Garbett and Florence Baccus; those that cared for her, Piedad "Helen" Cruz, Alexis Cruz, Alcira Samudio and Tamara Vaughn, along with her beloved cats, Patrick, Baby, Maggie and Fuzzy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard A. Belaief and son, Kevin. A graveside service will be held at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mount Nebo located at 5900 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143 at 2:00pm on Thursday, April 12, 2018. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ellie's honor to Best Friends Animal Society or American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
