POLLACK, JAMES FENTON ("Jimmy"), 86, died on December 2, 2017 after a courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Jim was born in Shaker Heights, Ohio to Rose and Harry Pollack. A graduate of Shaker Heights High School, the University of Miami, and the University of Miami Law School, Jim practiced real estate and commercial law in Miami for more than 50 years. He was highly regarded by his peers and members of the judiciary for his honesty, integrity, and commitment to his clients. In addition to his love of the law, Jim also was an avid history and jazz buff. After he retired, Jim spent his time volunteering with SCORE and the Dade County Legal Aid Society, where he was the recipient of the 2009 Legal Aid Attorney of the Year Pro Bono Award. He also ran the weekly "Current Events" class at the Coral Gables Adult Activity Center. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Sandra, daughter Jackie (Dale) Greenberg of Hollywood, FL, son David Pollack of Coral Gables, and grandchildren Michael and Joshua Greenberg and Hannah and Rebecca Sanchez-Pollack. A Funeral Service honoring Jim's life will be held at 11 a.m. on December 5, 2017 at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapels at Mt Nebo Kendall, 5900 S.W. 77 Avenue, Miami, FL. The family requests donations be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
